- Currently supervising 3 PhD and 6 master’s students. Concluded supervision of 3 post-doctorate researchers, 11 Ph.D. thesis, 23 M.Sc. thesis, and more than 80 undergraduate final projects, in the areas of Automation Engineering, Computer Science and Production Engineering (See more in Supervision)
- Acted as technical coordinator in 17 applied research projects, including many from Europe, between 1996 and 2018.
- CNPq Research Productivity Fellow from 2011 to 2016.
- Member of SOCOLNET – Society of Collaborative Networks.

- Consultant on Computer Aided Manufacturing Systems (CAM) development at Grucon / Department of Mechanical Engineering – UFSC, between 1983 and 1986, providing advisory to clients such as Manessmann, Mecânica Pesada, Saint Gobain / Vidraçaria Santa Marina, Volkswagen, Ford and Nuclebrás.
- Chief of CAM Division for systems development & automation at Mercedez-Benz do Brasil S.A., São Bernardo do Campo (SP), from 1986 to 1989.
